According to the rumor, the WRX will come with a CVT transmission and the WRX STI will get a 6-speed manual transmission. They will also share the same platform as the second-gen Subaru Levorg.

Some rumors cited that this is very likely to be the final iteration of the WRX and STI without some form of electrification. Emissions rules around the world are becoming more stringent quickly, and there’s not much time left for the combustion engine.

The next generation Subaru BRZ and Toyota GR86 will produce 228hp upped by 28hp from the previous model. The FA24 will be a full second quicker on the zero-100km/h acceleration sprint. Both models are available in Auto and Manual transmission. At the time of writing, it is unknown if UMW Toyota and Subaru Motor Image will be selling in their dealership.
