In 2020 when countries around the world went into a lockdown, the Logitech G29/G290 (launched 5 years ago) becomes one of the most popular entry level racing wheels. The Logitech G29 and the G290 are two racing wheels, which are both almost identical. The G29 is compatible with Play Station consoles and PCs. And the G290 is the Xbox compatible racing wheel. Both look and function almost identically, with the exeption of the PS4 having and extra dial on the front.
The G29 and G290 is affordable and is to cater for the huge audience of casual simulator racers. It certainly does not give you the same force feedback when compared to other more expensive sim racing wheels but that isn’t what Logitech had in mind. For a beginner this is the perfect wheel and Logitech also sell the 6-speed gear shifter separately.
