Initial impressions on our early track drive suggest this latest, 992 generation is a more focused 911 GT3 than before. Its handling backs up its looks, making it a supremely fast and confidence-inspiring track day tool. With the release of the Porsche 991 GT3 in 2014 which comes with Porsche’s dual clutch PDK automatic transmission, the 991 GT3 brought the definition of a dual purpose road/track weapon to the next level. With a 3.8 liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine based off the Carrera S powerplant with reworked camshafts, titanium connecting rods and also forged pistons which is unique to the GT3, allows for a redline of 9000rpms and 475 horsepower to the rear wheels. The biggest change on the all new 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 would be the new top mounted Swan neck rear wing which ensures clean air flow around the base of the wing which increases the efficiency of the produced downforce, and also the all new reworked diffuser which produces up to four times the downforce of the ones on the previous models. What’s the use of power when you cannot control it? Do not worry because Porsche has got you covered with rubbers such as the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 or if that is not enough for you, there is another option with a stickier Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires which further provides the 911 GT3 with better cornering grip and unfiltered feedback to the driver.
